On July 16, Ukrainian defenders repelled 112 Russian assaults, with the fiercest battles unfolding in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated<\/a> by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

“Today, Russian troops launched one missile and 46 air strikes, using one missile and dropping 63 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 1,292 kamikaze drones and carried out 4,140 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas,” the General Staff reported.<\/p>\n

In the North-Slobozhansk<\/strong> and Kursk<\/strong> directions, since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian forces have repelled 11 Russian assault operations, with three clashes still ongoing.<\/p>\n

In the South Slobozhansky<\/strong> direction, the invaders stormed Ukrainian positions ten times near Vovchansk, Zeleny, Stroivka, and in the direction of Kudiyivka. Three clashes are still in progress.<\/p>\n

In the Kupyansk<\/strong> direction, the aggressor carried out offensive actions near the settlements of Synkivka and Zagryzove. Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks.<\/p>\n

In the Lymansky<\/strong> direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 16 times near the settlements of Novyi Mir, Nadiya, Karpivka, Kolodyazi, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, and in the direction of Serebryanka. Three clashes remain active.<\/p>\n

In the Siversky<\/strong> direction, three enemy assaults were repelled near Hryhorivka and in the direction of Viymka.<\/p>\n

In the Kramatorsk<\/strong> direction, the enemy launched three assaults near Orikhovo-Vasylivka and in the direction of Bila Hora.<\/p>\n

In the Toretsk<\/strong> direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian units six times near Nelipivka, Toretsk, Rusyn Yar, and Oleksandro-Kalynove. Ukrainian defenders repelled five assaults, with one battle ongoing.<\/p>\n

In the Pokrovsky<\/strong> direction, since the start of the day, the enemy has attempted to advance 36 times. Attacks were launched near Poltavka, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Zvirovo, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, and Oleksiivka. Four clashes are still ongoing. Enemy aircraft also struck Dobropillya.<\/p>\n

In the Novopavlivske<\/strong> direction, Russian troops attempted 12 assaults near Piddubne, Myrne, Vilne Pole, and Zelene Pole. Two clashes remain active.<\/p>\n

There were no significant changes in the remaining sectors.<\/p>\n
