The prolongation of illegal sanctions hinders Ukraine’s European integration – this was stated by Petro Poroshenko, who is appealing the Decree of President Zelensky, at a briefing after the Supreme Court session.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“In particular, the first block of questions of the “Fundamentals” in the form of the rule of law, the rights of the opposition, human rights, and the rights of the media,” Poroshenko said.<\/p>\n

“There is nothing more important to me than to fight for the truth, for the law, for democracy and against the illegal application of sanctions against Ukrainian citizens, to fight against those who hinder our movement to the European Union and violate human rights,” the opposition leader emphasized. He thanked the media and 11 diplomatic institutions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are coming to court once again to demonstrate that this issue is very important and relevant for our partners,\u201d Poroshenko states.<\/p>\n

“Everyone saw that the authorities had nothing to answer. They are openly mocking. They think that they are mocking us or the court. No. They are mocking the people of Ukraine and mocking the State of Ukraine. Because the principle of the rule of law is the basic principle of the Ukrainian Constitution,” Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n

Earlier it became known that at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, Yulia Svyrydenko, who was the Minister of Economy and was appointed to the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine, stated that the sanctions were imposed based on the decision of the interdepartmental working group and the data of the State Financial Monitoring Service. The Chairman of the State Financial Monitoring Service, Philipp Pronin, stated at a meeting of the parliamentary TSK on June 25 that he did not transfer data on Poroshenko to the Ministry of Economy, since this violates the law.<\/p>\n

Despite the Supreme Court\u2019s decision, government officials have not provided documents, in particular the minutes of the interdepartmental working group mentioned by Sviridenko, and continue to ignore the court\u2019s demands.<\/p>\n

“This is evidence of falsification, illegality of sanctions. This is a fundamental contradiction when Pronin says: “I did not direct anything,” and Sviridenko says: “Everything was directed by Pronin.” I want to say that today, in 2025, not once did the Ministry of Economy, much less those who do not have legal laws, initiate sanctions. Except for the Decree, where my name is indicated, because all the times it was the Security Service of Ukraine that initiated them. But in the submission of the Security Service of Ukraine, there is no name of Poroshenko.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that on July 17, the next session of the Cassation Chamber of the Supreme Court began on Petro Poroshenko\u2019s claim regarding illegal sanctions<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Subsequently, Petro Poroshenko, during his speech in the Supreme Court, where his claim regarding the illegal Decree on sanctions is being considered, stated that the government is entangled in its own lies<\/a> .<\/p>\n

As lawyer Igor Golovan noted at the end of the hearing, the authorities are artificially delaying the trial in the Supreme Court on Petro Poroshenko\u2019s claim regarding illegal sanctions<\/a> .<\/p>\n
