Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed a “mega deal” under which the United States would purchase Ukrainian drones in exchange for the opportunity for Ukraine to purchase American weapons.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated<\/a> this in an interview with the New York Post.<\/p>\n

Zelensky said that during the last talks with Trump, a “breakthrough agreement” was discussed, which provides for mutual support of air technologies of the United States and Ukraine. According to it, Kyiv offers to share all the experience of modern warfare gained during the three-year military confrontation with Russia.<\/p>\n

The NYT noted that the deal could be transformative for the US military, as American technology lags far behind Russian and Chinese, and American soldiers are poorly equipped to use UAVs or defend against them.<\/p>\n

Zelensky, speaking about the latest Ukrainian drones that were able to penetrate Russian defenses, destroy heavy bombers, and strike deep into Russian territory, noted that America needs new technologies in its arsenal.<\/p>\n

“I think this is truly a mega deal, a win-win for everyone, as they say,” the President of Ukraine added.<\/p>\n

The NYT noted that Zelenskyy offered to share the experience that Ukraine has gained to help the US and NATO prepare for a new era of war.<\/p>\n

“We will be ready to share this experience with America and other European partners. Negotiations are also ongoing with Denmark, Norway and Germany,” the President of Ukraine said.<\/p>\n

Earlier it became known that the US Department of Defense delayed the delivery of Patriot air defense systems to Switzerland in order to send them to Ukraine<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Recall, US President Donald Trump announced that the first batches of Patriot anti-aircraft systems have already been sent to partner countries, which will later transfer them to Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, US President Donald Trump’s statement regarding the start of the shipment of Patriot systems from Germany to Ukraine was not confirmed in Berlin.<\/a><\/p>\n
