On Monday, July 21, the government merged the Ministry of Strategic Industries into the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by<\/a> the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.<\/p>\n

“This decision creates a single space of defense management and strengthens the coordination and interaction of all its elements,” Shmyhal noted.<\/p>\n

He also added that all functions of the Ministry of Strategic Industry will be integrated into the Ministry of Defense, namely: the functions of attracting investments in the defense industry, cooperation with partners in the defense sector, including joint weapons production.<\/p>\n

Shmyhal stated that all organizational procedures for the unification will be completed as soon as possible for maximum efficiency.<\/p>\n

Recall that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Denys Shmyhal as the new Minister of Defense. 267 people’s deputies voted for this decision<\/a> .<\/p>\n

By the way, on July 17, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the appointment of Yulia Svyrydenko as Prime Minister of Ukraine<\/a> .<\/p>\n
