Against the backdrop of the constant military threat from Russia, the partners focused on the main thing &#8211; strengthening the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian army. During the meeting, a new US and NATO initiative on armaments was announced, the transfer of Patriot systems, hundreds of thousands of shells, drones and billions of support for the defense-industrial complex.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/Denys_Smyhal\/10886\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">was announced by<\/a> Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.<\/p>\n<p> It is noted that the 29th Ramstein format meeting brought together <strong>52 countries and international organizations<\/strong> , including leading representatives of NATO, the EU, the US and member states of the assistance coalition. The meeting was organized by the UK Defense Secretary John Healy and the German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.<\/p>\n<p> Key participants include:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Alexus Hrynkevich;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> EU High Representative Kaia Kallas.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> The Ukrainian side was represented by:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Head of the GUR Kirill Budanov;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Chief of the General Staff Andriy Gnatov;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> First Deputy Minister of Defense Serhiy Boev.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3> <strong>Key solutions and partner assistance<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p> <strong>The US and NATO have unveiled a new strategic initiative:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> The United States is launching a new mechanism together with NATO that will allow European countries to purchase American weapons specifically for Ukraine.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> European partners have already agreed to contribute to the financing.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> During the discussion, the technical aspects of the new mechanism were agreed upon, which should accelerate the delivery of important systems.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Germany will transfer Patriot, drones and ammunition:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> Berlin confirmed its participation in the transfer of 5 Patriot air defense systems, which are critically needed to protect Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> More than 200,000 shells for Gepard systems have been transferred.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Financing Ukrainian long-range drones, which are already successfully used on the front.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Canada will support the defense industry and provide tank maintenance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> Continued financing of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex through the &#8220;Danish model&#8221; &#8211; a mechanism when countries finance local production.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Allocation of 20 million Canadian dollars for the maintenance of Ukrainian tanks.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> <strong>The Netherlands will transfer interceptor drones and provide maintenance for F-16s:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> 200 million euros have been allocated for interceptor drones that are supposed to destroy Russian UAVs.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Another 125 million euros will be spent on servicing F-16 aircraft, which are due to arrive in Ukraine in the coming months.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Norway will provide a billion euros for drones:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> In 2025, Norway is allocating 1 billion euros to purchase drones.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> Of these, 400 million euros will go to the Ukrainian defense industry, which will allow increasing the production of combat drones in Ukraine.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> <strong>Sweden also announced a new aid package:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> Sweden is preparing a new large-scale package: air defense, artillery, and military equipment.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> This package is expected to be approved by parliament in the near future.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> Ukrainian representatives emphasized the need to strengthen air defense, the drone fleet, maintenance of equipment, and provision of artillery ammunition.<\/p>\n<p> The Ramstein format remains the main platform for coordinating international defense support for Ukraine. This 29th meeting demonstrated that despite global challenges, the world has not turned its back on Ukraine, but rather is increasing its support.<\/p>\n<p> The Minister of Defense thanked all allies, and expressed special gratitude to the United States, Great Britain, and Germany for their strategic leadership in the work of the Contact Group.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;We continue to work with partners. We are strengthening the army and bringing a just and lasting peace closer,&#8221; Shmyhal noted.<\/p>\n<p> The day before, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/nimechchyna-nadast-ukraini-p-iat-system-patriot-detali\/\">Berlin confirmed its readiness to help Ukraine strengthen its air defense<\/a> . During a meeting in the Ramstein format, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that, together with the United States, his country would participate in the supply of five additional Patriot systems.<\/p>\n<p> By the way, the Patriot air defense system, which Germany plans to pay for to be transferred to Ukraine, is currently being finalized and <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/ne-ranishe-nizh-za-piv-roku-zmi-diznalys-koly-bude-hotovyy-pershyy-patriot-dlia-ukrainy-koshtom-nimechchyny\/\">will be ready no earlier than in 6\u20138 months.<\/a><\/p>\n<p> Recall, US President Donald Trump announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/patriot-priamuiut-do-ukrainy-tramp-pidtverdyv-pochatok-postachan-cherez-soiuznykiv\/\">the first batches of Patriot anti-aircraft systems have already been sent to partner countries, which will later transfer them to Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n<p> As reported, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/nimechchyna-sprostuvala-zaiavu-trampa-pro-postachannia-patriot-v-ukrainu\/\">US President Donald Trump&#8217;s statement regarding the start of the shipment of Patriot systems from Germany to Ukraine was not confirmed in Berlin.<\/a><\/p>\n<p> Also follow <strong>\u201cPryamim\u201d<\/strong> on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pryamiy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Facebook<\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/prm_ua\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Twitter<\/a> , <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/+rtV4dxYu2_cyNjVi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Telegram<\/a> , and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/pryamiy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 29th meeting in the Ramstein format became a powerful signal of the unity of the global coalition around Ukraine.
