Ukrainians are watching, anxious and alert \u2014 tired of corruption, tired of war, and tired of being lied to.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"91\" data-end=\"473\">Volodymyr Oleksandrovych and his close circle of determined and influential figures clearly understand that a peace agreement would bring only brief applause and a modest bump in approval ratings lasting a couple of weeks. After that, questions would arise about Chernyshov, Mindich, the Shefir brothers, Yermak, and a host of corrupt power brokers and producers from the &#8220;quarter.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"475\" data-end=\"681\">To prevent this, they need to silence the unpopular media and undermine the anti-corruption sector. That is why there was an entire staged photo session involving NABU detectives in compromising situations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"731\">Among the drawbacks of the recent NABU searches:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"1027\">First, the SBU has launched an unscheduled inspection regarding the protection of state secrets. This concerns NABU employees who have access to classified information and conduct covert investigative (search) operations. This move effectively prevents new accusations against Zelenskyy&#8217;s team.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1029\" data-end=\"1308\">Second, according to NABU, the searches were conducted without court orders. However, the law permits searches without a court order only in two cases: 1) when there is an immediate threat to life or health; and 2) when there is a risk that the defendants might destroy evidence.<\/p>\n\t\t<aside class=\"shortcode-also\" data-title=\"Read also\" >\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/special-operation-against-nabu-and-sapo-what-is-the-purpose-of-the-banking\/\">Special operation against NABU and SAPO: what is the purpose of the Banking<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\n<p><strong>What preceded this show?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"73\" data-end=\"395\">Just a couple of weeks ago, NABU finally filed charges against former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov, who is close to President Zelensky and Andriy Yermak, head of the Presidential Office. They protected this elusive figure and his entire network, yet proceeded to dismiss and dissolve the Ministry of Education.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"397\" data-end=\"708\">Earlier, NABU and SAPO got closer to the president\u2019s inner circle through an investigation into his business partner Mindich. Mindich\u2019s cousin, Lenya, profited greatly from Kharkiv Oblenergo transformers, while Timur himself allegedly built fortifications at inflated prices in the Kherson and Zhytomyr regions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"710\" data-end=\"958\">NABU is also investigating members of the &#8220;Servant of the People&#8221; faction. Additionally, Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine\u2014whose mother reportedly bought everything for raspberries\u2014faces suspicion of illegal enrichment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"960\" data-end=\"1100\">Notably, all these searches are taking place while the NABU director is on a business trip to Britain, which has become a recurring pattern.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1145\">The message behind these searches is clear:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1220\">Ignore the corruption. It\u2019s only your perception. So, keep voting for us.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1222\" data-end=\"1395\">By the way, today marks exactly six years since Ukrainian voters elected a parliament full of everyone, from the unemployed and photographers to Bezuhly and Kolya Tyshchenko.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1397\" data-end=\"1573\">This context helps explain why attacks on Shabunin and attempts to discredit principled journalists\u2014those who don\u2019t quietly comply with the official telethons\u2014have intensified.<\/p>\n\t\t<aside class=\"shortcode-also\" data-title=\"Read also\" data-right>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/nabu-searches-russian-influence-or-political-game\/\">NABU Under Fire: Anti-Corruption or Controlled Detonation?<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\n<p><em>We remind you that the SBU, SBI, and Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office employees conducted at least <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/sbu-provela-obshuky-u-detektyviv-nabu-detali\/\">70 searches of NABU employees<\/a>. Investigative actions are carried out without court orders. In the vast majority of cases, the reasons are the participation of individuals in road accidents, but some employees are accused of possible ties with the aggressor country. These facts are not interconnected, NABU claims.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor&#8217;s Office also stated that the Security Service of Ukraine<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/obshuky-u-sap-sbu-otrymala-dostup-do-informatsii-pro-vsi-hlasni-ta-nehlasni-operatyvni-zakhody\/\">, without official warning, came to them to check<\/a> compliance with the legislation on state secrets and received access to information about all measures and special operations conducted by the NABU and the SAPO.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Meanwhile, the SBU reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/pratsivnyka-zakrytoho-pidrozdilu-nabu-zatrymaly-za-shpyhunstvo-na-fsb\/\">they had exposed the business in Russia of one of the heads of the interregional departments of NABU detectives<\/a>. According to the case materials, this high-ranking official has contacts with representatives of the aggressor country and is helping his entrepreneur father conduct illegal trade with Russia.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Instead, Transparency International Ukraine stated that <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/dii-vlady-syhnalizuiut-pro-bazhannia-zruynuvaty-nezalezhnist-antykoruptsiynykh-orhaniv-transparency-international-ukraine\/\">pressure on the anti-corruption bodies of Ukraine and attempts by the authorities to interfere in their work are unacceptable<\/a>. They emphasize that on July 21, the SBU, the Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office, and the State Bureau of Investigation conducted mass searches of NABU detectives and an inspection of the SAPO without court decisions.
