On the morning of July 23, in the Podilskyi district of Kyiv, a man opened fire on a car right in the courtyard of a residential complex. Law enforcement officers quickly identified him and detained him.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Kyiv Police on its Telegram channel.<\/p>\n

Residents of the building reported an incident \u2014 an unknown man was shooting at a car driving by. Patrol officers, detectives, and an investigative and operational team immediately arrived at the scene.<\/p>\n

The attacker turned out to be a 35-year-old resident of the capital. According to him, the reason for the shooting was a conflict with a driver that had occurred the day before. He used a traumatic weapon, which the police have already seized. <\/p>\n

It is noted that the car owner was not injured.<\/p>\n

Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – hooliganism with the use of weapons. The offender faces up to 7 years in prison.<\/p>\n
