Petro Poroshenko, in the Supreme Court, where he is challenging President Zelensky’s decree on sanctions, said that the government is mocking democracy and justice.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He stressed that government officials have not provided the necessary grounds for imposing sanctions and are trying to hide the falsification of documents.<\/p>\n

Why do they object to our comprehensive analysis of the entire volume of evidence? Because they are afraid of the truth. From the very beginning, they wanted to hide and make the entire meeting closed. They wanted to close themselves off from journalists, they wanted to close themselves off from diplomats, they wanted to close themselves off from the world in order to hide their crimes,” Poroshenko said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis crime consists of falsifying the final document that the Ministry of Economy refers to the government, falsifying the document that the government refers to the National Security and Defense Council, falsifying the document submitted to the president for signature, and, ultimately, falsifying the decree,\u201d Petro Poroshenko emphasized.<\/p>\n

“I want to emphasize that the decree will not only be cancelled, but you will be held accountable for the crime of falsification. Because, finally, a decree was issued with a text that has nothing in common with what was voted on at the Council meeting. And that is why you are so afraid,” Poroshenko addressed the representatives of the authorities.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Supreme Court began a hearing<\/a> on the lawsuit filed by the fifth president and leader of European Solidarity Petro Poroshenko regarding the illegality of the imposed sanctions.<\/p>\n
