The water crisis in the occupied Donetsk region has reached a critical level, with water supplied there only once every few days or not at all, and the situation is only getting worse.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Center for Countering Disinformation.<\/p>\n

Against the backdrop of the water crisis in Donbas, the occupation authorities are imitating turbulent activity under the slogan of “the struggle for water.”<\/p>\n

“Instead of real infrastructure repairs and searching for additional water sources, the Gauleiter are fixing prices for bottled water, counting capacities in yards, and rewriting consumption standards. This is an imitation of decisions that does not affect the main thing – the lack of water in the taps,” the Central Water Supply and Sewerage Authority notes.<\/p>\n

Russian propagandists publish photos of dried-up reservoirs and look for “culprits.” They blame Ukraine, the local “administration,” unfinished water pipelines – anyone but the Russian authorities.<\/p>\n

The main cause of the water disaster in the Donetsk region is the war unleashed by Russia.<\/p>\n

“The hostilities and mismanagement of the occupiers have brought the water system in the Donetsk Oblast to collapse. The “Russian World”, which promised to “save Donbas”, has turned the once successful industrial region into a humanitarian disaster zone,” the CPD report says.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Mariupol may be left without drinking water due to the critical shallowing of its only reservoir<\/a> .<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the Russians have intensified repression against Ukrainians in the Kherson region. They are looking for Ukrainian symbols that they did not have time to dismantle in order to destroy them<\/a> .<\/p>\n
