One is for HAWK air defense systems and the other is for the rehabilitation of Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. The total value of both packages exceeds $320 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dsca.mil\/Press-Media\/Major-Arms-Sales\/Article-Display\/Article\/4253428\/ukraine-hawk-phase-iii-missile-system-and-sustainment\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was reported by<\/a> the Pentagon.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>What&#8217;s included in the first package<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> The $172 million package covers maintenance of US HAWK Phase III air defense systems, including:<\/p>\n<p> &#8211; trucks with a carrying capacity of 5 tons<\/p>\n<p> &#8211; spare parts for HAWK air defense systems<\/p>\n<p> &#8211; repair and overhaul of launchers<\/p>\n<p> &#8211; storage containers<\/p>\n<p> &#8211; tool kits and test equipment<\/p>\n<p> &#8211; auxiliary logistics elements<\/p>\n<p> &#8211; technical documentation<\/p>\n<p> &#8211; training of Ukrainian specialists<\/p>\n<p> &#8211; technical support from the US government and contractors<\/p>\n<p> &#8211; maintenance of MIM-23 HAWK missiles<\/p>\n<p> Another $150 million is earmarked for Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, as well as technical assistance, training services, and software support to bring vehicles already in service back to combat readiness.<\/p>\n<p> The decision to transfer the aid was made under the Intergovernmental Sales (FMS) program.
