The systems are needed to strengthen Ukraine&#8217;s air defense.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hensoldt.net\/news\/hensoldt-strengthens-ukraines-air-defence\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was reported<\/a> by the company&#8217;s press service.<\/p>\n<p> According to the report, the supply of TRML-4D and SPEXER systems is under consideration &#8211; short- and near-range radars, orders for which were placed by the German Armed Forces.<\/p>\n<p> HENSOLDT CEO Oliver D\u00f6rre noted: &#8220;Our productive radars are urgently needed by the Ukrainian air defense. Several such systems have already been operating since the beginning of the Russian aggression.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> The TRML\u20114D radar is capable of simultaneously tracking up to 1,500 targets at ranges of up to 250 km, including cruise missiles, drones, aircraft and helicopters. SPEXER, including the SPEXER 2000, automatically detects and classifies airborne, maritime and low-flying targets.<\/p>\n<p> Previously, the SPEXER 2000 was integrated into the Skyranger 30 system, and was also used in the Feldlager airborne artillery system as part of the German air defense.<\/p>\n<p> As a reminder, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/derzhdep-ssha-zatverdyv-velykyy-paket-dopomohy-ukraini-perelik-zbroi\/\">the US State Department has approved two new military assistance packages for Ukraine<\/a> . One of them concerns HAWK air defense systems, the other &#8211; the restoration of Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. The total cost of both packages exceeds $320 million.<\/p>\n<p> By the way, the Cabinet of Ministers announced the launch of a grant competition to <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/ukraina-rozghortaie-vlasne-vyrobnytstvo-vybukhivky-dlia-viyska\/\">launch a full cycle of explosives production within the country<\/a> .
