On Friday, July 25, an explosion occurred in a multi-story residential building on Volodymyr Vynnychenko Street in Ternopil. As a result of the incident, two people died – a mother and son.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Ternopil region.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The signal about the explosion was received on the special line 102 at about 12:00 from the dispatcher of the State Emergency Service. The investigative and operational group of the Ternopil District Police Department immediately went to the scene.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred in an apartment on the third floor. In the house, law enforcement officers found the bodies of two victims – a man born in 1985 and his mother born in 1958.<\/p>\n

According to the preliminary version of the police, a combat F-1 grenade may have detonated in the apartment.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Investigators, bomb experts and other services are currently working at the scene. The causes and circumstances of the disaster are being established.<\/p>\n
