On the night of Saturday, July 26, Russia launched one of the largest air attacks on Ukraine during the full-scale war. The enemy launched 208 attack drones and 27 missiles of various types.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ukrainian Air Force reported<\/a> this.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the coordinated work of the air defense forces, it was possible to destroy and suppress 200 air targets, including 183 kamikaze drones and 17 missiles.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The enemy attacked mainly from the northern and southern directions: drones were launched from the territories of the Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol regions of the Russian Federation, as well as from Millerovo, Shatalovoye, Primorsko-Akhtarsky and temporarily occupied Crimea. Attack UAVs of the Shahed type and imitation drones served as the basis of the attack.<\/p>\n

In addition to drones, the Russian army used 12 Iskander-M\/KN-23 ballistic missiles launched from the Voronezh, Kursk, Rostov regions, Yeysk and Crimea. Eight Iskander-K cruise missiles were launched from Yeysk, the Voronezh and Rostov regions, and seven Kh-59\/69 guided air missiles were launched from the airspace over Belgorod region and the occupied part of Zaporozhye region.<\/p>\n

The main direction of the attack was the Dnepropetrovsk region. The defense of the sky was provided by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups and unmanned cover systems.<\/p>\n

As of 9:30 a.m., Ukrainian defense forces had destroyed or mitigated most of the threats with electronic warfare. The attack demonstrated both the intensity of Russian shelling and the effectiveness of Ukrainian air defenses, which continue to protect civilian cities from massive strikes.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that on the night of July 24, Russian troops<\/a> carried out a massive shelling of Kharkov and the Dnepropetrovsk region, resulting in deaths and injuries.<\/p>\n
