Petro Poroshenko, together with the deputies from “European Solidarity”, said farewell to the people’s deputy Yaroslav Ruschyshyn, who died tragically on July 24, in Lviv. The fifth President expressed his sincere condolences to the family and friends, associates and followers of Yaroslav Ruschyshyn.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Today Lviv, Galicia and all of Ukraine are saying goodbye to their great son, a great patriot, a great Ukrainian, a professional, a politician, a statesman and a cultural figure,” Poroshenko said.<\/p>\n

“Yaroslav always showed up with a smile, with optimism, with faith in our victory. Yaroslav always showed up where he was needed, and at times when Ukraine needed him. Revolution on granite. He believed, he fought for freedom, for Ukraine, for our movement towards the European Union, for democracy. For him, this was not an empty phrase,” said Petro Poroshenko.<\/p>\n

“And another very characteristic feature of his is that he brought up the younger generation. First by personal example, then through music, through jazz. He was a senator of the Ukrainian Ukrainian University. An entrepreneur, a cultural figure, an educator. It was always imbued with responsibility and love for Ukraine. Our duty is to continue his work, to preserve his work, a strong, European country. And we promise this to you, Yaroslav,” said Petro Poroshenko. <\/p>\n
