In the Troyeshchyna district of Kyiv, a 19-year-old man opened fire near a supermarket after a conflict with another man over a parking violation. The victim is in hospital, and the attacker has been detained.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> the Kyiv police.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on Kashtanova Street in the Desnyanskyi district of the capital. Passersby heard shots near one of the supermarkets and called the police.<\/p>\n

According to preliminary information, a 46-year-old man made a remark to the driver of an Audi who violated parking rules. The argument escalated into aggression – the young driver pulled out a gun and fired several shots at his opponent. One of the shots hit the victim in the face.<\/p>\n

After the shooting, the attacker got into a car and fled the scene.<\/p>\n

The fugitive was promptly identified by patrol officers. In a short time, the police identified the attacker as a 19-year-old resident of Kyiv. During his detention, a pistol was seized from him, from which the shots were probably fired.<\/p>\n

The boy was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – hooliganism with the use of firearms. The sanction of the article provides for up to seven years of imprisonment.<\/p>\n

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.<\/p>\n
