The European Solidarity faction demands<\/a> that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine immediately, without any preconditions or delays, implement the provisions of the law and appoint the head of the Bureau of Economic Security (BES).<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The latest statements by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yu. Svyrydenko regarding the government’s requirement for the winner of the competition for the position of head of the BEB A. Tsyvinsky to undergo a polygraph test are legal nihilism and attempts to talk and delay the process, an attempt to discredit the candidate and the competition committee. There is no such norm in the law on the competition and appointment, and the law must be strictly observed, and not interpreted in a free manner,” the statement says.<\/p>\n

The EU faction has long registered the corresponding resolution #13470<\/a> demanding that the government appoint a head of the Bureau of Economic Security and stop undermining the trust of society and our Western partners.<\/p>\n

The reform of the BEB, as well as the immediate reform and reboot of the discredited ARMA and DBR are key beacons for the extension of assistance from the IMF and the Ukraine Facility, the faction noted.<\/p>\n

The European Commission, which welcomed the restoration of independence of NABU and SAP, reminded the Ukrainian authorities that this is not enough. Kyiv is expected to immediately appoint the head of the BEB, reboot the DBR and abolish the shameful practice of extrajudicial sanctions against the opposition.<\/p>\n

“Ms. Sviridenko must also respond to criticism from her partners and cancel the illegal government order banning travel abroad for women deputies of local authorities and limiting the interparliamentary activities of Verkhovna Rada deputies. This is stated in the relevant resolutions of the European Parliament and the report of the European Commission. We would really not like it to be “for disrupting reforms and failing to fulfill obligations,” the EU noted.<\/p>\n

Full responsibility for the fact that Ukraine has already received less than a portion of the funds within the 4th tranche of the Ukraine Facility lies with the Government, the OP and the mono-majority, who have not fulfilled the relevant targets or are deliberately blocking them. Full responsibility for the failure of European integration and for the fact that negotiation clusters will not be opened this year also lies with the Ukrainian authorities. “Don’t interpret the law, Ms. Sviridenko – but immediately implement it. And stop violating the Constitution! This is about illegal sanctions against the opposition leader, which should have been canceled long ago and an apology should have been made,” the faction added.<\/p>\n

And as for the polygraph, judging by the latest events, it is worth taking it for all the vice-premiers, ministers, the entire OP and especially the 5-6 managers who, together with Bankova, run the country instead of the Government.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko held a conversation with the candidate for the post of Director<\/a> of the Bureau of Economic Security, Alexander Tsivinsky, stating that he would undergo a polygraph test.<\/p>\n
