Ukraine and the United States are finalizing a security agreement that could redefine long-term strategic cooperation and mark a new chapter in bilateral defense relations.<\/span><\/h6>\n

This<\/span> was stated by<\/span><\/a> the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak.<\/span><\/p>\n

He noted that he had consulted with advisors to the leaders of Great Britain, France, and Germany, as well as with the deputy diplomatic advisor to the Prime Minister of Italy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe discussed the preparation of a historic bilateral security agreement between Ukraine and the United States,\u201d Yermak stated.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the head of the President\u2019s Office clarified that the agreement includes provisions for financial support from European partners.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the officials addressed several other issues. In particular, they reviewed the progress of negotiations on opening the first cluster in Ukraine\u2019s EU accession process and confirmed positive signals from the White House regarding decisive measures against Russia.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed a “mega deal”<\/a> under which the United States would purchase Ukrainian drones in exchange for the opportunity for Ukraine to purchase American weapons.<\/p>\n

By the way, Yulia Svyrydenko explained that within the framework of the “mega deal,” the parties are discussing investments in expanding the production of Ukrainian drones in the United States<\/a>.<\/p>\n
