The purchase of tickets for these routes through railway ticket offices is not available,” the people’s deputy states.

“The appeal referred to Resolution No. 2510 (2023) of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, which establishes that “public authorities have a special responsibility in the digital sphere when they themselves begin to digitalize public services. After all… under no circumstances should those who do not have easy access to digital technologies be left behind in achieving these goals. Otherwise, this will deprive them of access to their rights and constitute a violation of the obligation to ensure the continuity of the provision of public services,” Klympush-Tsintsadze quotes the document as saying.

“Therefore, mandatory verification via the “Action. Signature” service actually violates human rights. Hundreds of thousands of our citizens are deprived of the opportunity to purchase tickets for the specified flights. In addition, I remind you that using the “Action” application is not mandatory in Ukraine,” notes the Chairman of the Committee on European Integration.

She adds: this “reform” contradicts the principles laid down in Article 24 of the Constitution of Ukraine, and also falls under the signs of a violation of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which directly prohibits the violation of the equality of citizens.

“In addition, Ukrzaliznytsia is a monopoly, so this initiative needs to be checked for compliance with antimonopoly legislation, and therefore I will also contact the AMCU for a position and possible consequences. “Action” will not solve the problem of ticket purchase abuses. We need to take on not passengers, but those who take on passengers” Klympush-Tsintsadze.

“So far, there is only a response from Alexey Kuleba to the appeal, that more time is needed for the response. I want to hope that we will receive a response that is truly on the merits and a solution for all citizens,” Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze sums up.

Also follow “Pryamy” on Facebook , Twitter , Telegram and Instagram.

People’s deputies from the European Solidarity faction sent an appeal to Ukrzaliznytsia and the Government about introducing a discriminatory requirement to buy train tickets through the DIYA application.
