On the evening of August 3, a shooting occurred in the Industrial District of Kharkiv: an unknown man shot a 22-year-old veteran of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> by the press service of the National Police.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is noted that eyewitnesses reported a shooting, after which law enforcement officers, an investigative and operational group, and a forensic laboratory arrived at the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe police established that during a sudden conflict, one of the participants took out a traumatic pistol and shot his opponent at point-blank range, after which he beat him,\u201d the press service said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The injured veteran has now been hospitalized. As<\/span> Viktor Zabashta, director of the regional emergency medical center,<\/span> told<\/span><\/a> “Suspilne Kharkiv” in a comment, the man received a fatal wound to the anterior abdominal wall.<\/p>\n

At the same time, law enforcement officers located and detained the attacker, who turned out to be a local resident born in 1981.<\/span><\/p>\n

The shooter was detained. Investigators have launched a pre-trial investigation into the fact of hooliganism. The detainee faces up to seven years in prison.<\/span><\/p>\n
