The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back a massive enemy attack in several areas of the front. Since the beginning of the day, 76 combat clashes have been recorded, most of them in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian defenders have repelled 22 of 25 enemy attacks, three battles are ongoing<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this as of 16:00 on Monday, August 4.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Situation in the directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, there were 13 combat contacts, one of which is ongoing with the enemy.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the South Slobozhansky direction, five attacks have been repelled; the enemy is trying to advance in the directions of Kazachya Lopani, Goptovka, Kolodeznoye, and near Krasnoye Pervyy<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops twice attacked positions in the Golubovka area<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Liman direction, 16 attacks took place near Grekovka, Mirny, Wells, Green Valley, Torsky, and also in the direction of Dronovka and Serebryanka, three battles are ongoing.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Seversky direction, the enemy attacked in the Vyemka area<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Kramatorsk direction, one attack was repelled near Vremenny Yar<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Four assaults have been recorded in the Toretsk direction in the Toretskaya and Shcherbinovka areas, one battle continues<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 25 attacks in the areas of Poltavka, Novoekonomichesky, Krasny Liman, Sukhetsky, Lysovka, Zverevoy, Kotlin, Udachny, Novoukrainka and Zeleny Ugol. 22 attacks have been repelled. Three clashes are ongoing. Russian aviation dropped aerial bombs on Dobropolye.<\/p>\n

In the Novopavlovsk direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defense near the settlements of Zelenoe Pole, Zeleny Gai, Poddubnoe, and Maliyevka, three assaults were repelled<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Gulyai-Polye direction, one attempt to break through was recorded in the Malinovka area; the enemy launched airstrikes on Belogorye and Uspenovka<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Orekhov direction, an attack was carried out in the direction of Novoandreyevka; an airstrike was carried out on the Malokaterinovka area<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Dnieper direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three attacks; another combat clash continues<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In other areas, no changes in the operational situation were recorded.<\/p>\n

Shelling of border areas<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Klyusy in Chernihiv Oblast and Novovasilovka Belaya Bereza Aleksandrivka and Kucherivka in Sumy Oblast came under artillery fire. The village of Arkhipovka in Chernihiv Oblast suffered an air strike.<\/p>\n
