{"id":1276008,"date":"2025-08-04T21:57:46","date_gmt":"2025-08-04T18:57:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prm.ua\/nato-and-the-us-launched-a-new-mechanism-to-support-ukraine-what-does-it-entail\/"},"modified":"2025-08-05T09:45:55","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T06:45:55","slug":"nato-and-the-us-launched-a-new-mechanism-to-support-ukraine-what-does-it-entail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/nato-and-the-us-launched-a-new-mechanism-to-support-ukraine-what-does-it-entail\/","title":{"rendered":"NATO Sets Up New Framework to Back Ukraine: What\u2019s Inside the Plan?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The United States and NATO have introduced the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), a new mechanism designed to streamline and coordinate military and logistical support to Ukraine, ensuring the timely delivery of critical resources amid ongoing conflict.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/ministry_of_defense_ua\/13427\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was announced by<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The purpose of this mechanism is to ensure the rapid supply of systems and weapons to Ukraine, which, in large quantities, can be obtained from the United States, to strengthen Ukraine&#8217;s positions and create conditions for achieving a just and sustainable peace,&#8221; the head of the defense department said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is noted that the relevant initiative is being implemented within the framework of agreements between the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, US leader Donald Trump, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thus, Ukrainian allies will be able to finance American weapons and technologies for Kyiv through voluntary contributions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the same time, the mechanism provides that Ukraine will independently, based on its requests, form assistance packages. Shmyhal added that they will be announced regularly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In turn, NATO will coordinate the supply through existing mechanisms, in particular, NATO Security Assistance and Training to Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, the Netherlands has financed the first package within the new mechanism.
