On Tuesday, August 5, Dynamo Kyiv will continue its journey in the 2025\/26 Champions League qualification. In the third round, the Ukrainian club will face the winner of the Cyprus championship, Paphos. The match will be held on a neutral field in Lublin, Poland, and will be the first head-to-head match between the teams in history. The winner of the two-match match will advance to the Champions League qualification play-offs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The third qualifying round match of the Champions League between Dynamo Kyiv and Paphos FC will take place on August 5 in Lublin (Poland) at the Arena Lublin stadium. The starting whistle will sound at 21:00 Kyiv time<\/strong> . Due to Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the “white-and-blue” are forced to hold home matches in neutral arenas.<\/p>\n

This will be the first-ever confrontation between Dynamo and Paphos. Both teams have already overcome the second round of qualification, where the Kyiv team defeated the Maltese Hamrun Spartans twice (3:0 each), and the Cypriots passed the Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv (1:1 at home, 1:0 away).<\/p>\n

The club became the champion of Cyprus and played in the final of the national cup. On the eve of the confrontation with “Dynamo”, the Cypriots strengthened the squad: the loudest name is veteran David Luiz (ex-“Chelsea”, “PSG”), but he will definitely not play in the first match due to injury. Striker Anderson Silva, who spent last season on loan at the club, was also signed.<\/p>\n
