The United States has approved a new military assistance package for Ukraine worth $203.5 million. The funds will be used to maintain artillery and ensure its transportation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reuters reports<\/a> this.<\/p>\n

According to the agency, the US State Department has given the “green light” to the possible sale to Ukraine of services for the repair and maintenance of M777 howitzers, as well as for the organization of logistical processes – in particular, the transportation and consolidation of military equipment.<\/p>\n

The US Department of Defense noted that BAE Systems, which already has experience working with this equipment, will be responsible for technical support and repair of artillery systems.<\/p>\n

The logistics service provider has not yet been determined – it will be selected from among the approved contractors.<\/p>\n

Recall, two senators called on the United States to allocate more than $50 billion in aid to Ukraine<\/a> , which will be paid over the next two years.<\/p>\n

As reported, the US State Department has approved two new military assistance packages for Ukraine<\/a> . One of them concerns HAWK air defense systems, the other – the restoration of Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. The total cost of both packages exceeds $320 million.<\/p>\n
