While Washington supplies Kiev with weapons and defense support, Beijing has been secretly providing the Kremlin with critical technologies, including microelectronics, optics, drone components, and dual-use goods.

US intelligence has recorded information about the creation of a secret factory for the production of attack UAVs in China, in cooperation with the Russian concern Almaz-Antey. According to Koffler, this strategy allows China to maintain the appearance of neutrality while playing on Moscow’s side.

Under the guise of a trade and economic partnership, China is actively importing Russian energy resources, avoiding Western sanctions. Millions of barrels of oil and gas are delivered to China every year, often using the so-called “shadow fleet” – ships that hide the route and origin of the cargo.

Despite the new 25% tariffs that the Trump administration imposed on India for imports of Russian oil, Beijing has not reduced its purchases and even ignored warnings from the US Treasury about the possibility of 100% tariffs.

According to Koffler, China is deliberately playing for a protracted war to weaken American arsenals and reduce US military readiness in the event of a conflict over Taiwan. Such a scenario, experts believe, could be realized as early as 2027.

“While two tigers fight in the valley, a wise monkey sits on the mountain and watches,” the analyst writes, using a classic Chinese allegory to describe Xi Jinping’s behavior.

Against this backdrop, the Trump administration’s diplomatic mission is under threat. His representative, Steve Witkoff, is negotiating with the Russian side, but Beijing and Moscow are not interested in a real end to the war, even despite public statements of partnership.

The recent joint naval exercises between China and Russia in the Sea of Japan are another signal: these states are playing to prolong the conflict, not to end it.

As a reminder, China refused to comply with Washington’s ultimatum and stated that it would continue to import oil from Russia and Iran, despite the threat of 100% tariffs from the US . This position of Beijing directly affects the financing of the Russian military machine and creates new challenges for Ukraine in the war with the aggressor.

As reported, Chinese President Xi Jinping wants to organize a trilateral meeting with Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Beijing during the celebration of the end of World War II on September 3.

By the way, US President Donald Trump has been disappointed with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s actions regarding the war in Ukraine. However, only Chinese leader Xi Jinping has real influence over the dictator.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , Twitter , Telegram , and Instagram.

Amid Washington’s intensified diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine, China, on the contrary, is acting in the opposite direction, unpublicly supporting the continuation of hostilities.
