On the night of Friday, August 8, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Ukrainian territory. A total of 108 drones of various types were launched. Air defense forces managed to destroy or suppress 82 of them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

It is noted that among the drones used were 104 attack UAVs of the “Shahed” type and drones-simulating targets of various types, as well as 8 reactive (high-speed) drones. The attack was carried out from different directions: Shatalovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and temporarily occupied Crimea.<\/p>\n

Anti-aircraft missile units, aviation, mobile fire groups, electronic warfare forces, and unmanned systems of the Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.<\/p>\n

“As of 08:00, according to preliminary results, air defense units destroyed or suppressed three jet drones, as well as 79 Shahed-type strike drones and imitation drones in the north, south, east and center of Ukraine,” the Air Force reported.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of August 8 , Russian occupation forces carried out a drone attack on peaceful settlements in the Kyiv region.<\/a> The Buchansky district came under fire. Three people were injured as a result of the strike.<\/p>\n

As reported, as of the morning of August 8 , Russia had lost about 1,061,350 military personnel since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.<\/a> Over the course of the day, the enemy’s losses in manpower reached 1,040 people.<\/p>\n

In addition, over the past 24 hours, 147 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front<\/a> . The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.<\/p>\n
