Meat and vegetable oils saw the biggest price increases worldwide in July.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fao.org\/worldfoodsituation\/foodpricesindex\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">is stated<\/a> in a report by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.<\/p>\n<p> Meat prices in July were 1.2% higher than in June and 6% higher than in 2025, such figures are record highs.<\/p>\n<p> The reasons for the increase in prices are:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> rising prices for beef and lamb;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> rising prices for poultry meat.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> In addition, vegetable oil prices increased by more than 7% and reached a three-year high.<\/p>\n<p> The growth was due to higher purchase prices for palm, soybean and sunflower oil.<\/p>\n<p> It is noted that prices for sunflower oil have increased due to a seasonal reduction in supplies in the Black Sea region, including from Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p> However, grain prices decreased by 0.8% per month and by 3.8% per year.<\/p>\n<p> Export prices for barley and maize increased, while prices for sorghum and wheat decreased.
