As of 16:00 on Saturday, August 9, 79 combat clashes have been recorded on the front. The hottest battles remain in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian troops have repelled 24 enemy attacks, with two more battles continuing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Russian troops continue to shell border areas of Ukraine. Arkhipovka in Chernihiv region, a number of settlements in Sumy region – Seredina-Buda, Gorki, Chuykovka, Vasilyevka, Belokopytovo, Aleksandrovka, Novodmitrovka, as well as Lemishchyne in Kharkiv region – came under fire.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Six clashes occurred in the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions. The occupiers carried out four airstrikes, dropping five guided bombs, and carried out 171 artillery shellings, including nine from multiple launch rocket systems.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Ukrainian defenders stopped three attacks in the Yuzhno-Slobozhansky direction, two in Kupyansky and six in Limansky, where two more battles are ongoing. There were two assault attempts in the Seversky direction, and no changes in Kramatorsk.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Toretsk direction, six attacks were recorded in the areas of Dilievka, Shcherbinovka, Toretskaya, Rusiny Yar and in the direction of Pleshcheyevka and Belaya Gora.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Novopavlovsk direction, 14 attacks took place, four more battles are ongoing. In the Gulyai-Polye direction, the enemy was defeated near Malinovka. In the Orekhov direction, two of three attacks were repelled, one is still ongoing.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the Dnieper direction, four attempts by the enemy to break through the defenses were unsuccessful. The village of Lvov came under air strikes.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In other areas of military operations, the situation has not changed significantly.<\/p>\n
