American Vice President J.D. Vance said that the United States wants to see a peaceful settlement, so it is ending “funding the war in Ukraine.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said<\/span><\/a> this<\/span> in an interview with Fox News.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, Americans are supposedly tired of sending their taxes to the war in Ukraine. However, the United States is not opposed to Europe taking over the funding initiative and purchasing American weapons.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf the Europeans want to take the initiative and actually buy weapons from American manufacturers, we don\u2019t mind, but we won\u2019t fund it ourselves anymore,\u201d Vance noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

He emphasized that European countries should take on a greater role in resolving the conflict, including taking over funding.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe said to the Europeans: this is happening in your hemisphere, you need to take responsibility,\u201d the American vice president added.

J.D. Vance previously stated that a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia should be based on the current front line<\/a> , however, the proposals put forward are unlikely to satisfy either side.<\/p>\n
