On the night of August 9-10, 2025, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a powerful Soviet-Russian radar “Skala-M” in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. The elimination of this facility will significantly reduce the enemy’s ability to use aviation to strike Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service<\/a> of the Special Operations Forces.<\/p>\n

It is noted that units of the Resistance Movement of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully eliminated the stationary TRLK-10 “Skala-M” route radar complex in the village of Abrikosivka, located in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.<\/p>\n

TRLK-10 “Skala-M”<\/strong> is a Soviet-Russian radar capable of detecting and tracking air targets at a distance of up to 350 km. The complex combines primary and secondary detection capabilities, allowing for air traffic control both on routes and in approach zones. For the occupiers, it played an important role in the air traffic control system and ensuring the operation of aviation.<\/p>\n

According to the SSO, the destruction of this facility will significantly complicate the enemy’s use of aviation assets to strike at civilian infrastructure and the civilian population of Ukraine. The elimination of the radar will create additional obstacles to enemy operations in the air and reduce the effectiveness of the coordination of their air forces.<\/p>\n

It is worth adding that the destruction of the Skala-M radar will significantly worsen the work of Russian aviation in Crimea, as the occupiers will lose the ability to timely detect and track air targets at long distances<\/strong> . This will complicate flight planning, reduce the effectiveness of coordination, and make air strikes less precise and predictable.<\/p>\n

Recall that in temporarily occupied Crimea, among the targets destroyed by Ukrainian forces<\/a> during the attack on August 7, one of the most modern Russian radar stations was hit – the 98L6 Yenisei radar.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the “Ghost” special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine carried out a series of pinpoint strikes on Russian military targets – a landing craft, at least three radar stations, and an air defense base in Crimea were hit.<\/a><\/p>\n
