North Korea is planning to transfer up to 6,000 troops and equipment to Russia in the near future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was told by<\/a> the head of the Military Development Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, to The Japan Times.<\/p>\n

In the near future, the DPRK plans to transfer about 6,000 military personnel and 50 to 100 pieces of equipment to the Russian Federation, including main battle tanks and armored personnel carriers, allegedly for “carrying out engineering work.”<\/p>\n

Budanov noted that some of the Korean military may indeed be involved in demining and building fortifications, but expressed doubt that all of them would be involved in this.<\/p>\n

“The Kremlin pays for all military equipment and troops. We are talking about tens of billions of dollars, and for the economy of North Korea, one of the most isolated in the world, this is very serious money,” the head of Ukrainian intelligence noted.<\/p>\n

He also noted that only 3 countries in the world currently have experience in modern warfare: Ukraine, Russia, and North Korea.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Russia is rapidly losing the remnants of Soviet weapons stocks and is increasingly dependent on the help of foreign allies<\/a> .<\/p>\n

It is known that North Korea continues to supply Russia with ammunition to support its war against Ukraine<\/a> . According to South Korean military intelligence, the DPRK may have transferred more than 12 million 152 mm shells to the Russian Federation. <\/p>\n
