On the night of August 14, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the GUR, in cooperation with other components of the SOU, struck the Volgograd Oil Refinery, which supplies the Russian army.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

It is noted that the strike by the strike drones caused severe fires at the plant. However, the consequences of the strike are still being determined.<\/p>\n

It is known that the Volgograd Refinery is the largest producer of fuels and lubricants in the Southern Federal District of Russia. Every year, more than 15 million tons of oil are processed here, which is 5.6% of all Russian processing.<\/p>\n

The refinery produces diesel, gasoline, and jet fuel, which are critically important for the logistics of the Russian army.<\/p>\n

“We are consistently working to reduce the production capacity of petroleum products in the aggressor country and weaken its army. Russia must fully feel the consequences of its aggressive policy and stop the war against Ukraine,” the General Staff said in a statement.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of August 13, drones attacked several fuel infrastructure facilities in Russia<\/a> . Oil refineries in the Volgograd and Krasnodar regions, as well as an oil pumping station in the Bryansk region, were hit.<\/p>\n

As reported, on the night of August 12, the Russian city of Stavropol came under attack by drones<\/a> . According to Russian media, loud explosions were heard in the city, and local residents reported fires at industrial enterprises.<\/p>\n
