Talks between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will take place on August 15 in Anchorage, Alaska. They are scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. local time (10:30 p.m. Kyiv time).<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian media.<\/p>\n

Putin aide Yuri Ushakov said the meeting will begin in a one-on-one format with only the leaders and interpreters present. Before the talks begin, Putin and Trump will make brief introductory statements to the press.<\/p>\n

After the personal conversation, official delegations from both sides will join the talks. The Russian delegation will include Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev, and Ushakov himself. The composition of the American delegation, as Putin’s aide noted, will be announced separately by Washington.<\/p>\n

The central topic of the summit, according to the Kremlin, will be “resolving the Ukrainian crisis” \u2014 as Moscow calls the war Russia is waging against Ukraine. In addition, other international issues are also planned to be discussed.<\/p>\n

A joint press conference between Putin and Trump is scheduled after the talks. According to Ushakov, preparations for the meeting are in the final stages, and the program of the visit has already been fully agreed.<\/p>\n
