Polish law enforcement officers reported the detention of two 17-year-old Ukrainians who painted red-and-black flags and left “Bandera slogans” at memorial sites for the victims of the Volyn tragedy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> Wroclaw law enforcement officers.<\/p>\n

“According to the investigators’ findings, the detainees placed Bandera flags and slogans promoting Nazi ideology and glorifying the figure of Stepan Bandera on the facades of buildings and monuments dedicated to the victims of the Volyn tragedy,” the police said in a statement.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that this is happening against the backdrop of a scandal<\/a> that occurred at a concert by Belarusian singer Maksym Korzh. At this, Ukrainians unfurled the UPA flag, which angered some Poles.<\/p>\n\t

The Polish president, commenting on the incident, called on<\/a> the country’s parliament to ban the “Bandera flag.” He also added that he may talk to Volodymyr Zelensky about it.<\/p>\n

Later, the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland stated<\/a> that he did not understand why Ukrainians went to this concert, since it was in Russian, and added that anyone who violates the law in Poland must be held accountable for it in accordance with Polish law.<\/p>\n

Later, the media reported<\/a> that Poland had begun the deportation procedure for 63 people who attended the Korzha concert. Among them were 57 citizens of Ukraine. <\/p>\n
