His family has accumulated millions in virtual assets, and the origin of these funds has attracted the attention of the NAPC. However, the former official was unable to officially explain the sources of such enrichment.

This was reported by Lenta.UA.

It is noted that before his dismissal by order of Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko on August 8, Brovko headed the Department for Supervision of Law Enforcement by the State Bureau of Investigation. His career began as the head of the investigative department in the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office, and 10 years later he rose to one of the key positions in the OGP.

The cryptogamers of his wife and children grew in sync with the career advancement of the head of the family. Back in 2015, he only had an apartment in Dnipro with an area of 63 square meters, and in 2024 he declared cryptocurrency in the amount of 41.7 million UAH. His wife in 2023 made transactions with virtual assets for more than 8.3 million UAH, while, according to Brovko himself, the starting capital was 4,500 dollars from the sale of the apartment.

According to Opendatabot, it was Brovko who declared the largest number of stablecoins among officials in 2021 – 774,500 units, which in equivalent amounted to UAH 20 million. In 2022, the amount of cryptocurrency remained unchanged, but its market value increased to more than UAH 29 million.

In 2024, NAPC began checking his declaration for 2023. It was not possible to establish the exact amount of assets, since a significant part of the wallets were not available for analysis – the resources did not store the transaction history, and Brovko himself was unable to provide supporting documents.

According to the couple, the cryptocurrency was acquired from an exchanger found online: the wife handed over $4,500 to a person who arrived in a car with a laptop, who received approximately 409 ETH on a Trezor cold wallet. In 2018, they say, a representative of the same exchanger brought 100,000 euros in cash, after which the wife transferred 100 Ethereum coins. In 2019-2020, she allegedly sold cryptocurrency worth 75,000 euros.

The NAPC audit revealed discrepancies in the declaration data. In particular, with regard to the Zcash and Ethereum Classic cryptocurrencies, it was established that they were stored on hot wallets of the service with an unspecified circle of users, so it is impossible to check the balance or transaction history. Similar problems arose with Monero, Dash, Tron, Tether, Atomic Wallet Token, Toncoin, Lunc and other currencies.

In the declaration for 2023, the family indicated 18 different cryptogamers, and in 2024 – already 22. The final conclusion of the NAPC: it is impossible to reliably establish the size of the family’s wealth, since no documents were provided for confirmation.

Brovko was dismissed from his post and the prosecutor’s office as a whole on August 8. Despite this, new assets periodically appear in his family’s declarations – Lexus cars, Rolex watches, a 183 sq. m. apartment in Kyiv in use. In addition, he hid data from the demographic registry on his wife and children, two of whom were born in the United States. Cryptogamans were also recorded by their name.

Also follow “Pryamy” on Facebook , Twitter , Telegram and Instagram.

Vitaliy Brovko, who until recently held a senior position in the Office of the Prosecutor General, has become one of the most prominent cryptocurrency declarants in Ukraine in recent years.
