On the night of August 15, drones struck a strategic facility in Russia \u2014 an oil refinery in Syzran, Samara Region.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by local Telegram channels.<\/p>\n

In the morning, residents of the city reported a massive drone attack. By four or five o’clock, they heard a series of loud explosions, and then discovered two or three pockets of unquenchable flame and columns of black smoke above the plant’s territory. <\/p>\n

The governor of the region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, confirmed that the region was attacked by UAVs, and according to preliminary data, 13 such drones were destroyed. Despite this, he did not mention the direct attack on the refinery, which eyewitnesses reported. Due to the threat, the “Carpet” regime was introduced, the Samara airport was temporarily closed, and mobile Internet was limited for the safety of citizens.<\/p>\n
