A new modification of the Russian V2U drone, which works with artificial intelligence, has been spotted on the front line. This type of UAV has been widely used in all directions over the past week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is stated<\/a> in a post by a Ukrainian specialist in communication systems, electronic warfare and intelligence, Serhiy Beskrestnov (callsign “Flash”).<\/p>\n

According to him, the new version differs from previous modifications in the absence of tail stabilizers in the center of the body, which may indicate a change in the aerodynamic characteristics or functional purpose of the drone. It is probably a reconnaissance version – after completing the mission, the device descends to the ground using a parachute.<\/p>\n

“When we studied the trophies, the V2U software had different names for this line of drones. We already know about the presence of a strike drone, now we see a reconnaissance drone. That leaves the courier drone, designed for logistics,” said Flash.<\/p>\n

The name of the manufacturer and the exact origin of the drone remain unknown at this time. However, Beskrestnov emphasizes that there are no Russian components in the technical content of the device – all key components, including the control system and electronics, are of imported origin.<\/p>\n

He paid special attention to the potential of swarm tactics that the Russians can use with this series of UAVs. “For me, the most important issue is the interaction between reconnaissance and strike drones in a swarm format. This allows for coordination of strikes with high precision. I consider this development to be one of the most innovative and at the same time the most dangerous in the Russian arsenal,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n

The presence of such technologies among the Russians may indicate a gradual adaptation of AI algorithms to combat conditions. Against the background of the increasing intensity of the use of FPV drones on the front, the emergence of autonomous UAVs with extended functionality is a challenge to which the Ukrainian command must quickly adapt.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Russian center for unmanned systems “Rubikon” has adopted unmanned attack boats that pose a threat to Ukrainian maritime infrastructure.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, Ukrainians have begun to hear a new eerie sound in the night sky \u2014 it is a jet version of the Shahed kamikaze drones, which Russia has begun to use<\/a> in recent days. This was the enemy’s response to the successes of Ukrainian anti-aircraft drones. So far, the attacks are not massive, but the emergence of a new type of drone may change the nature of threats from the air in the coming months.<\/p>\n

In addition, Russian Shahed drones began performing complex maneuvers in flight to avoid being hit by Ukrainian interceptor drones.<\/a><\/p>\n
