Since the beginning of the day on Saturday, August 16, 68 military clashes have been recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this as of 16:00.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The enemy carried out more attacks in the Pokrovsky direction – 26. The defense forces repelled 24 assaults, two more battles are ongoing. Active battles are also being conducted in the Kupyansky, Limansky and Novopavlovsky directions.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There have been 14 attacks by Russian troops on Limanskoye, two clashes are ongoing. On Kupyanskoye, Ukrainian soldiers have repelled 6 out of 9 assaults, the fighting is ongoing. On the Novopavlovskoye direction, the enemy has made 8 attacks, half of which our defenders have repelled.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Enemy airstrikes were recorded on the settlements of Belogorie, Preobrazhenka, Orekhov and Kazachye. Border communities of Sumy region, in particular Boyaro-Lezhachi, Semeykino, Belaya Bereza, Shalygino, Khodyno, Bobilovka and Belokopytovo, came under artillery fire.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian Armed Forces report certain successes in certain locations and emphasize that the defense continues to hold its positions.<\/p>\n
