In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian occupiers, for the first time in a long time, resorted to a mechanized assault using armored vehicles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/span> the commander of the 429th separate regiment of unmanned systems \u201cACHILLES\u201d<\/span><\/a> and<\/span> the press service of the Dnipro UAV<\/span><\/a> .<\/span><\/p>\n

The enemy is trying to advance on the left bank of the Oskil River \u2014 in the direction of the settlements of Lyman Pershyi and Kupyansk.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe enemy decided to make a breakthrough in the left-bank part of the city of Kupyansk,\u201d explained the commander of the ACHILLES regiment.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, according to sources, the occupiers involved 2 tanks, three armored combat vehicles, as well as about 40 servicemen in the assault.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result of the actions of the Ukrainian units, the enemy was stopped. All Russian equipment of the Defense Forces was destroyed, and personnel were hit by fire.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, as of 4:00 p.m. on August 16, in the Kupyansk direction , Russian occupiers were trying to break through Ukrainian defenses in the area of the settlements of Kindrashivka, Zapadne, Holubivka, and Stepova Novoselivka<\/a> . Six out of nine attacks were repelled.<\/p>\n
