European allies plan to support Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to the United States to strengthen his position in negotiations with Donald Trump and avoid possible conflicts in the White House.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To ensure effective communication, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, who enjoys Trump\u2019s trust and influence in diplomatic circles, could travel to Washington. He would accompany Zelensky in the talks to help prevent misunderstandings and strengthen European participation in shaping the strategic dialogue with the United States. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, known for his strong working relationship with Trump, is also being considered.<\/p>\n

The EU and Ukraine see future talks as critical to dissuade the US president from agreeing to terms that would hand over Ukrainian territory to Russia. At the same time, concerns are raised about Trump’s friendly attitude towards Putin, which could affect the outcome of the meeting.<\/p>\n
