Why did the American president look weak and confused, while the Kremlin boss felt victorious? What secret agreements could have been made behind the scenes and how did Putin &#8220;buy&#8221; such a reception?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Now Ukraine is facing a new trap: they are trying to drag it into hasty negotiations without any real levers of pressure on the aggressor. Will Kyiv be able to avoid the imposed conditions and what should European partners do immediately to save the situation?<\/p>\n<p> Valeriy Chaly, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, diplomat and Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center, on the air of &#8220;Pryamoy&#8221;, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=avp6VMV13Xk\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">conducted<\/a> a detailed analysis of the consequences of the fateful meeting and gave a forecast of what awaits Ukraine in the near future.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;It was sad to watch, shameful and not worthy of the United States&#8230; When the president himself meets in person, it goes beyond the protocol, beyond the word &#8220;completely&#8221;. There are such cases, more in the eastern part of the world, there are principles, but precisely in this part of the western world where we are, to go out like this, especially to behave like this, meeting, when everyone catches your eye. There are three options. The first is Putin. You have to answer for this if you don&#8217;t feel the situation. Everything happens, you know. You got carried away, that is, you didn&#8217;t feel it. The second option is Ukraine. The president of Ukraine, as it was in the Oval Office, when this meeting was not properly prepared on our part, and all these attacks, this trap, suddenly began for us, and we fell into it&#8230; They said, get out of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and what else do they want,&#8221; Chaly explains.<\/p>\n<p> The third option, he said, could be a change in the strategy or at least the tactics of the US administration, as well as a reconfiguration of advisers close to Trump, who could strengthen American diplomacy.<\/p>\n<p> At the same time, Chaly expressed surprise at the haste with which a trilateral meeting involving the leaders of the United States, Ukraine, and Russia is being organized. Recognition of the fact that Donald Trump suffered a crushing defeat. This can no longer be hidden. And he needs to do something urgently, at least with this frank humiliation.<\/p>\n<p> 2. Invite the US President to a joint meeting of the leaders of Ukraine and European partners in Brussels.<\/p>\n<p> 3. In case of complete denial, fly to Washington, but do not leave the President of Ukraine alone in the Oval Office again.
