The film was shot in Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iftn.ie\/news\/?act1=record&#038;only=1&#038;aid=73&#038;rid=4296487&#038;tpl=archnews&#038;force=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">was reported by<\/a> the Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA).<\/p>\n<p> The film tells the story of the Kuyalnik sanatorium near Odessa, built in the 1970s, which simultaneously served as a hotel and a medical center against the backdrop of the war.<\/p>\n<p> The film was directed by Galway, Ireland-born Gar O&#8217;Rourke and produced by Andrew Freedman, Ken Wardrop and Samantha Corr.<\/p>\n<p> The film &#8220;Sanatorium&#8221; was selected by the IFTA 2025 committee.
