The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine reported that, thanks to cooperation with Chinese companies, Russia receives critically important resources for the military industry. These include special chemicals for the production of explosives, electronic components, and machine tools that are directly used in the production of weapons and military equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to military intelligence, China plays a key role in supplying the Russian military-industrial complex. It is thanks to cooperation with Chinese companies that Russia is able to produce scarce special chemicals used to create explosives.<\/p>\n

In addition, China supplies Moscow with about 90% of its electronic component base and a number of individual components that are actively used in the production of weapons and military equipment. This level of dependence on Chinese microelectronics has been maintained for more than a year: back in September 2024, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken reported identical figures to his colleague Wang Yi.<\/p>\n

GUR also notes that in the second quarter of 2025, Russia increased imports of Chinese CNC machine tools, which are actively used by defense industry enterprises, by 10%.<\/p>\n

Separately, military intelligence emphasized China’s assistance in the production of Russian attack drones of the Harpy-A1 type, which indicates systemic and multi-level support for Moscow in waging the war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Thus, cooperation between China and Russia in the military-industrial complex actually allows the Kremlin to circumvent restrictions, maintain defense capabilities, and continue large-scale military production.<\/p>\n

By the way, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful criticized China for supporting Russia in the war against Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n

Earlier, it became known in the media that China is against the end of Russia’s war with Ukraine, as the conflict is exhausting Russia and the United States<\/a> , while at the same time creating strategic advantages for Beijing.<\/p>\n
