On the night of August 20, Russian drones attacked the town of Okhtyrka in Sumy Oblast. At least 12 civilians, including two children, were injured in the strike.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Sumy region police.<\/p>\n

The impact damaged an apartment building, 13 private homes, an outbuilding, and a garage. Investigation teams, bomb disposal experts, and medics were at the scene. <\/p>\n

“The Russian military has once again attacked civilian infrastructure, targeting residential areas. This is yet another example of their blatant disregard for the lives of civilians,” the police said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – “violation of the laws and customs of war.” <\/p>\n
