Over the past 24 hours, 175 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on August 20.<\/p>\n

The enemy launched four missile and 82 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using ten missiles and dropping 153 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 5,611 attacks, including 66 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 5,610 kamikaze drones to destroy them.<\/p>\n

Air strikes were carried out, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Gremyach in Chernihiv region; Nova Sloboda, Chernatske in Sumy region; Kostyantynivka, Dobropillya, Ivanopillya in Donetsk region; Bilogirya, Prymorske in Zaporizhia region; and Odradokamyanka in Kherson region.<\/p>\n

Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery have struck nine areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, two artillery systems, and one other important facility of the Russian invaders.<\/p>\n

Seven combat engagements took place in the North Slobozhansk<\/strong> and Kursk<\/strong> directions over the past 24 hours. In addition, the enemy carried out 12 air strikes, dropping 26 guided bombs, and carried out 218 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements, including nine from multiple launch rocket systems.<\/p>\n

In the South Slobozhansk<\/strong> direction, the Defense Forces repelled five enemy attacks near the settlements of Vovchansk and Kamyanka.<\/p>\n

There were six attacks by the invaders in the Kupyansk<\/strong> direction. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of Kindrashivka, Synkivka, Zagryzove and Stepova Novoselivka.<\/p>\n

In the Lyman<\/strong> direction, the enemy attacked 33 times, trying to advance in the areas of the settlements of Zelena Dolyna, Kolodyazhi, Myrne, Torske, and towards Yampol and Hryhorivka.<\/p>\n

In the Siversky<\/strong> direction, our defenders repelled two assaults by occupation troops near Pereizne and towards Fedorivka.<\/p>\n

In the Kramatorsk<\/strong> direction, two clashes were recorded near the settlement of Oleksandro-Shultyne.<\/p>\n

In the Toretsk<\/strong> direction, the enemy carried out ten attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Shcherbinivka, Yablunivka, and Poltavka.<\/p>\n

In the Pokrovsky<\/strong> direction, our defenders stopped 50 assaults by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Mayak, Nykanorivka, Novoekonomichne, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Promin, Grodivka, Lysivka, Zvirovo, Udachnoe, Novomykolaivka, Horikhove, and Novoukrainka.<\/p>\n

In the Novopavlivka<\/strong> direction, the Defense Forces stopped 28 enemy attempts to break through the defensive lines in the areas of the settlements of Hrushivka, Zeleny Hai, Temyrivka, Voskresenka, Zelenye Pole and towards Komyshuvakha.<\/p>\n

There were four clashes with the enemy in the Dnieper<\/strong> direction.<\/p>\n

The enemy did not conduct active operations in the Hulyaipil<\/strong> and Orikhiv<\/strong> directions.<\/p>\n

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn<\/strong> and Polissya<\/strong> directions.<\/p>\n
