Elon Musk has put plans to create a new political party on hold because it could damage his relationship with J.D. Vance.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> in The Wall Street Journal.<\/p>\n

“In recent weeks, Elon Musk has maintained contact with J.D. Vance, who is considered a potential successor to the MAGA political movement. Musk admitted that if he still decides to create a political party, it will harm his relationship with the vice president,” the publication’s sources reported.<\/p>\n

Musk and his entourage are considering using some of the funds to support Vance if he decides to run for president in 2028.<\/p>\n

The billionaire has not officially ruled out forming a new party and could change his mind ahead of the midterm elections. However, no one has been in contact with prominent people who support the idea of a new party or could help with its organization.<\/p>\n

“Musk’s decision to abandon plans to create a third party would be a victory for Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Historically, third parties often take votes away from the two major parties,” the publication noted.<\/p>\n
