Great Britain is ready to send its troops to protect Ukrainian skies and ports, but participation in front-line battles is not envisaged.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> the Chief of the British Defense Staff, Admiral Anthony Radakin, The Guardian reports.<\/p>\n

According to him, during an upcoming meeting with the US military at the Pentagon, he plans to confirm London’s intentions to provide military personnel to protect Ukraine’s airspace and maritime communications, while avoiding deployment on the front lines.<\/p>\n

In addition, British soldiers will be involved in providing logistical support and conducting training programs for the Ukrainian military.<\/p>\n

Previously, it was planned to involve up to 30,000 military personnel to protect important facilities in Ukraine, but due to opposition from certain European countries, this number was reduced.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, US President DonaldTrump has admitted the possibility of providing air support to Ukraine as part of a future peace agreement with Russia<\/a> . At the same time, he confirmed that American troops will not participate in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As reported, France, Great Britain and a number of other European countries plan to send a limited military contingent to Ukraine.<\/a> This involves the creation of a so-called “deterrence force” that will include several thousand foreign military personnel.<\/p>\n
