The Special Operations Forces (SOF) of Ukraine officially described and showed how on the night of August 17, as a result of their operation, Russian Lieutenant General Esedulla Abachev was seriously injured – precisely when he was in his own car near Rylsk (Kursk Region).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The corresponding post was published by<\/a> the press service of the Military Regional Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The general, who served as deputy commander of the Russian group of forces “Sever”, was hit by aimed fire from the UA_REG TEAM SSO unit. This attack took place approximately five kilometers from the city of Rylsk. Abachev received extremely serious injuries, as a result of which his arm and leg had to be amputated. After his injuries, he was urgently evacuated by private plane to one of the medical institutions in Moscow.<\/p>\n

The SSO reminds that back in 2023, the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office sent an indictment against the general to the court. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Abachev has headed the so-called “2nd Army Corps of the People’s Militia of the LPR”, subordinate to Russian military structures. He was the person who first gave orders to shell and destroy settlements in the Luhansk region. <\/p>\n
