The Cabinet of Ministers supported the bill on the establishment of the National Bureau for Investigation of Transport Accidents. The new body should become an independent institution that will conduct objective and professional investigations of incidents in all types of transport.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Currently, there is no special law in Ukraine that defines the legal basis for the activities of such a body. According to the Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba, the adoption of the document will be an important step in fulfilling Ukraine’s obligations under the Association Agreement with the EU.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It is expected that the creation of the bureau will make investigations more qualitative and faster, will contribute to improving transport safety and will allow for the formation of recommendations for preventing new accidents.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The next step will be the registration of the bill in the Verkhovna Rada and preparation for its consideration.<\/p>\n
