At the same time, there are growing concerns around the world that some of these workers could be recruited to produce military equipment for the war against Ukraine.

This is reported by Bloomberg.

This recruitment campaign is particularly visible in South Africa, which is part of the BRICS grouping. The main recruiter is the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in Tatarstan, where military drones are manufactured. This has led the South African government to launch its own investigation to find out the true intentions of the Russian companies.

Recruitment programs actively use the BRICS image and offer jobs mainly to women aged 18 to 22. Vacancies are advertised by popular bloggers on social networks, including Instagram and TikTok. Local activists indicate that the Russian side is in dire need of workers due to large-scale losses at the front and rising salaries.

According to independent researchers, women are often deceived: they are promised legal work, but in fact they are used to assemble Shahed-136 kamikaze drones – weapons that are actively used in the war in Ukraine. Representatives of the South African Republic said that they are verifying these facts and carefully studying all versions of the fraud.

Promises of comfortable conditions and social guarantees do not always correspond to reality. The vast majority of newly arrived girls are forced to work in military production without proper information. According to human rights activists, about 90% of new workers are involved in the production of drones.

Meanwhile, the Alabuga Special Economic Zone is preparing new housing complexes for over 40,000 workers, indicating plans for a large-scale expansion of production. At the same time, recruitment is underway in other countries in the region – Botswana, Lesotho and other African states.

According to local media, some young people have already left for Russia in early August, which raises concerns about their possible involvement in the military industry.

As a reminder, Russia is experiencing serious disruptions in the implementation of a state defense order for the production of Kh-59M2/M2A aircraft missiles. The reason was sanctions restrictions and a shortage of necessary components.

As reported, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CDC) Andriy Kovalenko stated that Russia will be able to continue its intensive war against Ukraine for only 6–8 months if it loses the support of its key partners – China and North Korea.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , Twitter , Telegram , and Instagram .

Russian companies have stepped up their search for young women from Africa to fill a labor shortage.
