The European Union’s High Representative for Security and Foreign Policy, Kaia Kallas, said that territorial concessions by Ukraine are “a trap that Putin is trying to draw into.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

She said<\/span><\/a> this<\/span> in an interview with the BBC.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, Kallas emphasized that Ukraine should not be pressured to cede some of its territories to the Russians as part of a future peace agreement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The European official also noted that the Russian dictator got everything he wanted during the summit with US President Donald Trump in Alaska.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe was received like that, and he wanted the sanctions not to be imposed, which he achieved. Putin just laughs, does not stop the killings, but increases their number. We forget that Russia has not made any concessions,\u201d Kallas noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recall that during a conversation with Zelensky and European leaders, Trump stated that the Russian dictator’s plans for Donbas remained unchanged<\/a> .<\/p>\n

By the way, Putin suggested that Ukraine withdraw its troops from the Ukrainian-controlled territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions as a first step towards ending the war<\/a> .<\/p>\n
